In today’s fast-paced world, maintaining a healthy and active lifestyle is essential for overall well-being. Functional Fitness, a type of exercise that mimics everyday movements, offers a practical and effective approach to achieving peak performance both in and out of the gym.
What to expect and who it’s for
Functional fitness workouts improve strength, balance, coordination and cardiovascular fitness, and ultimately help with everyday movements and every-day life (think picking up your pets, loading a push chair in the boot of your car or fighting off sharks while suspended on a rope from a helicopter). The workouts prioritise compound movements (using multiple muscle groups) such as squats, deadlifts, overhead presses, carries etc., and for those keen to push themselves can be completed at an intensity which will rapidly improve their cardio fitness. The classes will cater for all abilities, from people just starting out on their fitness journeys to seasoned fitness enthusiasts, and will be varied, purposeful
and fun! Though not specifically aimed at, this session is a great one for walkers, hikers, runners or anyone that aspires to do so!
